1. The Story
We truly try to get to know couples and their stories and then reflect what makes their love unique in their highlight video in every aspect. Through a questionnaire and Zoom meeting before the wedding day, we find out their interests, how they met, and what makes their relationship special. On the wedding day, we really pay attention. We take note of themes that come up more than once like in the message at the ceremony, the couple’s personal vows, the speeches from their family and friends, etc., and that becomes the overarching story of the highlight video. We tie everything back to that message or theme, creating a cohesive video that feels incredibly personalized to the couple.
Story Example
One of our past couples told us they had met in a bar and when he asked for her number, he realized he didn’t have his phone or a means to write it down, so he borrowed a pen from a stranger and wrote her number on his arm. They’ve been writing their story ever since. Their love for adventure was definitely reflected in their decor, the speeches, etc. The video therefore starts with the opening of a book of their adventures before it shows their wedding day, really focusing on the idea of continuing to write their story with lots of love and adventure. At the end, a pen flips onto the screen next to their new last name, paying homage to their beginning. The song echoes this with the chorus being “Our Story Starts Here”. The story is at the heart of everything that we do.
2. The Moments
We work with couples prior to their wedding day to find out what they are most excited to see to ensure that those moments are heavily reflected in their highlight video. For example, we had a couple tell us how excited they were to watch their bridal party’s grand entrance. They were holding a “best entrance competition” and knew they would go all out (and they definitely did). We made sure that we allotted extra time and emphasis into their highlight video to have those entrances shine! 3. The Music
We are incredibly choosy with the music we weave into the video. On top of using the couple’s taste in music to narrow down the options, we really listen to the lyrics and find a song that helps tell the couple’s story. If you watch our highlight reels, you’ll often hear a message that was given during the ceremony, vows, or speeches reflected in the song’s lyrics!
4. The People
As we mentioned before, we really pay attention on a wedding day to the details. We figure out who is especially close to the couple and try to get a bunch of candids of them. For example, when we find out during family photo time who the grandparents are, we pay special attention to ensure that if they wind up partying on the dance floor we’re there getting a shot of them having a ball.
5. The Vibe
